Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our long-term care team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional patient care in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Staffing Ratios

• Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:10 on days, 1:19 on nights

Common Diagnoses

• Heart Disease
• Diabetes
• Dementia

Job Responsibilities

• Act as charge nurse.
• Administer medications and perform wound care.

Qualifications

• LTC experience is required.
• Current BLS certification is required.

Clinical Environment

• No IVs or titratable drips.
• No telemonitoring; RNs do not read strips.
• Physician availability after hours is via phone on-call.
• Interdisciplinary team meetings are not required for this role.

Support Services

• Physical Therapy available as needed.
• Social worker designated for support.
• No respiratory therapy on-site.

Equipment

• Oxygen therapy equipment includes concentrators and portable concentrators.
• Pharmacy services are off-site with a medication dispensing system.

Shift Information

• 12-hour shifts from 7 AM to 7 PM.
• No blocked or self-scheduling.
• Weekend requirements: Every other weekend.
• Holiday requirements: Every other major holiday.

Orientation

The position includes 2-3 shifts of unit/department-specific orientation.

Professional Appearance

All staff must maintain a clean and presentable appearance; no specific scrub colors required.

Cancellation Policy

The facility reserves the right to cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment.

Please note, the radius rule is within 50 miles, and candidates must not currently be employed full-time, part-time, or PRN with any healthcare organization affiliated with the common systems in the area.
