Position Summary

The Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse (RN) plays a crucial role in providing high-quality care to patients undergoing interventional radiology procedures. This position involves both direct patient care and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe and effective treatment. This role requires adherence to facility policies and an understanding of the unique needs of patients in the interventional radiology setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer medications and monitor patient vital signs before, during, and after interventional radiology procedures.
• Assist radiologists and other healthcare professionals during procedures.
• Educate patients and their families regarding procedures, post-operative care, and recovery.
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient care and procedures.
• Participate in quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with all safety and infection control protocols.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• Minimum of one year of experience in an acute care setting, preferably in interventional radiology or similar specialty.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Work Schedule

The Registered Nurse is expected to work in accordance with facility policy, which includes rotating weekend shifts and holiday assignments with hospital employees.
