Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) for an exciting opportunity in a Stroke Unit. This position is essential to ensuring high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing assessment and care for patients in the stroke unit.
• Assist with the management of care plans and coordinate with the healthcare team.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and monitor patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and their families regarding health conditions, treatments, and care plans.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
• Respond to patient emergencies and provide critical assistance as needed.

Qualifications

• Active Florida state or multistate nursing license.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Certification in NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS).
• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in Medical Surgical nursing required.
• Experience with stroke patients is preferred.

Work Schedule

This position primarily requires overnight shifts, working from 6 PM to 6 AM. The duration of the assignment is 13 weeks.
