Description
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our flexible pool team. The RN will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care across various medical and surgical units.
General Job Duties
- Float between various medical and surgical units as needed.
- Provide patient care in accordance with established protocols and standards.
- Utilize equipment and technology effectively to support patient care.
Shift Information
As a Registered Nurse in the flexible pool, you will work 12-hour night shifts from 1845 to 0715, and will be scheduled for 36 hours per week following the first week of orientation. Please note that there is no guarantee of hours.
Holiday Coverage
Holiday coverage is required.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience.
- Current Hawaii nursing license (must be obtained by the start of the assignment).
- Current certifications: BLS and ACLS. (Preferred: PALS, Procedural Sedation, TNCC, ENPC).
Units and Patient Ratios
- Medical Unit: 77 beds, nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6 during the day and evening shifts, 1:8 at night.
- Laulima Unit (Surgical Acute): 18 beds, nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6.
- Cardiovascular Unit: 15 beds, nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4.
Equipment Utilized
- Meditech EMR
- Pyxis medication management system
- Wound vac
- Chest tubes
Dress Code
Professional nursing attire, including clean scrubs, is required.
Training and Orientation
Orientation will be provided for each unit to ensure proper training and familiarity with protocols.
