Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care in a fast-paced surgical environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with surgical procedures, ensuring patient safety and adherence to protocols.
• Scrubbing for various cases, primarily in Orthopedic, Neurosurgical, and General Surgery.
• Collaborate effectively with a diverse surgical team, including surgeons and operating room technicians.
• Maintain a sterile environment and monitor patient status throughout the surgical process.
• Facilitate smooth transitions for patients pre and post-operation.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
• Experience in trauma is essential.
• Strong skills in scrubbing for various surgical procedures.

Work Schedule

This position requires 12-hour shifts from Friday to Sunday, with typical hours being 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.

Orientation and Training

All clinicians must be present in-state for the week of orientation, even if some modules are conducted remotely.

Additional Information

There are no floating requirements for this position. The designated dress code will be provided, and unit-specific orientation will be conducted.

Location

Facility located in a major city, with multiple locations within the region. Specific details will be provided upon application.

Cancellation Policy

The hospital reserves the right to cancel up to 4 shifts for a 13-week assignment and 3 shifts for assignments shorter than 13 weeks.

Charting System

EPIC system will be used for documentation and charting.
