Job Description

This position is located within the Operating Room. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling a variety of elective and emergency surgical cases, including but not limited to abdominal, thoracic, urology, ENT, plastic, orthopedics, vascular, and OB/GYN procedures. The nurse will efficiently manage multiple tasks to ensure that surgical cases progress in a timely manner throughout the day.

Position Summary

The selected candidate will utilize after-hour call services to provide staffing for the Operating Room during nights, holidays, and weekends. The role requires a professional who possesses substantial experience in the operating room setting to effectively support surgical teams.

Qualification Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (BSN or ADN)
• High school diploma or GED
• A valid, current, full, and unrestricted RN license in the State of Alaska
• Three years of circulator experience in the Operating Room

Additional Qualifications

• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• Experience in a Critical Access Hospital and/or Rural Operating Rooms is strongly preferred

Shift Information

Full-time position consisting of four 10-hour shifts from Tuesday to Friday. Holiday coverage is required.

Minimum Years of Experience

Three years of Operating Room circulator experience is required.
