Unit Information

This position is located on the 4th Floor East Wing, providing care in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) with a total of 55 beds. The patient population includes primarily adults, with rare pediatric cases for those aged 15 and older.

Shift Information

• Shift Length: 12 hours
• Shift Times: 0630-1830, 1830-0630
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend

Staffing Details

• RN to Patient Ratio: 1:4 for both days and nights
• Nursing Assistant Support: Yes
• Charge Nurse: Yes
• Additional Support Staff: Includes Educators, Care Managers, Social Workers, Dieticians, Physical Therapists, and Occupational Therapists.

• Cerebrovascular Accident (CVA)
• Transient Ischemic Attack (TIA)
• Shortness of breath
• COVID-19
• Subdural Hematoma
• Weakness

Required Competencies

• ACLS
• BLS
• Telemetry
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)

Equipment and Technology

• EMR System: EPIC
• IV Pumps: Alaris
• Specialized Equipment: Mechanical lifts available in every other room

Cancellation Policy

The facility retains the right to cancel up to four shifts for assignments lasting 13 weeks or fewer for shorter commitments.
