Position Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Tele Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic team. This position guarantees 48 hours per week, with a start date of December 14th.

Unit Information

• Unit Name: Medical/Surgical
• Number of Beds: 36
• Patient Ratios: 1:6 for both day and night shifts
• Staffing Support: Technician for every 10-12 patients
• Equipment Used:
  • Dynamap (WelchAllyn)
  • Telemetry with monitor at the nurses' station
  • Alaris IV pumps
• Documentation System: Meditech
• Scheduling Requirements: Every other weekend
• Floating Policy: First to float to ortho or telemetry unit (based on competencies)

Patient Experience Requirements

Our commitment to patient care includes:

• Bedside shift report
• Hourly safety rounds
• AIDET (Acknowledge, Introduce, Duration, Explain, Thank)
• Personal connection with patients

Required Certifications

• ACLS
• BLS
• Basic Dysrhythmia
• NIH Stroke Scale Certification

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

• Must-Have Skills: Time management, IV start skills, patient experience skills
• Advanced Skills: Procedures performed on the unit do not require conscious sedation

Dress Code

Charcoal gray top and bottom scrubs are required.
