Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Telemetry Registered Nurse to join our team. This position offers a guaranteed 48 hours per week, with a start date on December 14th. The role will be based in Overland Park, KS, within a Med Tele unit known for its commitment to safety and quality care.

Unit Information

• Number of Beds: 25
• Patient Ratios: 4-5:1
• Unit Composition: The Telemetry unit primarily manages patients with renal, urology, oncology, pulmonology, cardiology, and general medical-surgical conditions.
• Equipment Utilized: EKG machines, bladder scanners, sit-to-stand lifts, Hoyer lifts, hover mats, Alaris pumps, and Pyxis.
• Documentation System: Meditech - EBCD

Scheduling Requirements

• Every third weekend is required.
• A minimum of three shifts per week is expected.

Floating Policy

Staff members may float to similar units, including Ortho, Neuro, CCU, CDU, SSU, Obs, and Rehabilitation.

Patient Experience Focus

Each patient receives daily rounds from nurse leaders to foster connection and address any care-related concerns.

Certifications and Skills Required

• Current ACLS and BLS certifications.
• Basic Dysrhythmia recognition.
• A positive attitude and a collaborative mindset are essential.

Advanced Skills and Procedures

Basic medical-surgical procedures will be performed on this unit.

Dress Code

The required uniform includes royal blue scrub tops paired with royal blue or black pants, and an undershirt in grey, white, black, or royal blue.
