Position Overview

This position offers 48 hours guaranteed with a preferred start date of December 14. The role is situated in Overland Park, Kansas, specifically in a Med Tele unit known for its strong focus on safety, quality, and team collaboration.

Unit Information

• Number of Beds: 25
• Patient Ratios: 4-5:1
• Unit Composition: The unit specializes in caring for renal, urology, oncology, pulmonology, cardiology, and general medical-surgical patients.
• Staffing Support: The unit is bolstered by unit secretaries and techs to aid patient care.
• Documentation System: Meditech - EBCD.
• Equipment: EKG machines, bladder scanners, sit-to-stand devices, hoyer lifts, hover mats, Alaris pumps, and Pyxis.

Scheduling Requirements

Staff are required to work at least every third weekend and are expected to complete three shifts per week.

Floating Policy

Nurses may be required to float to similar units such as Ortho, Neuro, CCU, CDU, SSU, Obs, or Rehab.

Patient Experience Focus

This unit emphasizes excellent patient care through consistent leader rounds, aiming to foster personal connections, ensure safety, and uphold high standards of cleanliness and documentation.

Qualifications

• Licensure: Valid RN license.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, and Basic Dysrhythmia.
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of relevant nursing experience is preferred.
• Skills: Strong teamwork and a positive attitude are essential.

Dress Code

Required attire includes royal blue scrub tops, royal blue or black pants, with grey, white, black, or royal blue undershirts.
