Facility Overview

This organization encompasses a multi-campus facility located in Ocala, Florida, consisting of a 323-bed facility in the heart of Ocala and an additional 222-bed facility located in west Marion County. An expansion is slated to open in September 2025, adding 42 beds at one of the campuses. Five free-standing emergency departments within the region ensure timely access to care for the community.

Position Overview

The Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) is a crucial role that requires at least 2 years of experience in the field. The RN is responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures while collaborating with the surgical team to ensure optimal clinical outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess patients before surgery and prepare them for the operative process.
• Monitor vital signs and ensure patient safety throughout surgical procedures.
• Administer medications and manage anesthesia as directed by the surgical team.
• Assist with surgical procedures by providing necessary instruments and support to the surgical team.
• Maintain sterile environment and adherence to safety protocols.
• Document all care provided and maintain accurate patient records.
• Provide education and support to patients and families regarding surgical procedures and post-operative care.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Florida.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Operating Room or similar nursing environment.
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and best nursing practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
