• Number of Beds: 8 inpatient beds + 8 admission unit beds (flexible up to 12 beds depending on patient census)
• Number of Staff: 10
• Patient Ratios: Maximum 6:1
• Type of Equipment: Standard medical equipment
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR) System: Meditech
• Patient Population: Med/Surg patients

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for a position in the Med/Surg unit. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients, managing patient treatment plans, and collaborating effectively with the healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Caring for Med/Surg patients in a team-oriented environment
• Performing standard nursing skills, including IV insertions, urinary catheter insertions/maintenance, and central line maintenance
• Administering medications and documenting patient care in the electronic health records
• Communicating clearly with all members of the care team

Qualifications

• Required:
  • 1+ years of acute Med/Surg experience within the last year
  • Capability to care for 4-6 patients at a time
• Preferred:
  • 2+ years of acute Med/Surg experience within the last year
  • Background in orthopedic or neurosurgery is advantageous; Med/Surg/Telemetry experience is acceptable

Certifications

• Current RN license

Work Schedule

Shifts will typically include rotating weekends, with flexibility required for travel nurses.
