Shift Information
- Day Shift: 1 charge nurse, 1 RN per 2-3 patients
- Night Shift: 1 charge nurse, 1 RN per 2-3 patients
The unit employs nurse externs to assist the staff.
Patient Ratios
Typical patient ratios are 1 RN to 2 patients; however, under overflow conditions, this may increase.

- Lenet beds
- GE monitors
EMR: Meditech
Qualifications
Required Skills:
- A minimum of 1 year of current acute care ICU experience
- Certification in ACLS, BLS, and NIH
Preferred Skills:
- Neuro certification
- Experience in neuro and trauma care
Typical Procedures
- Rapid intubation
- Chest tube insertion and EVD management
- Care for LVAD and CCRT patients
Personality Fit
The ideal candidate will be flexible and willing to adapt to changing assignments mid-shift to accommodate patient acuity.
