Job Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) will partner with residents and other care providers to create a safe and comfortable therapeutic environment by providing both direct and indirect care.

Units Include

• 3 East: A 31-bed specialized unit focusing on residents with Alzheimer's and dementia, employing verbal and non-verbal communication techniques to understand and address the unique needs and behaviors of these residents in a home-like environment.
• Transitional Rehabilitation Unit: This 42-bed unit offers short-term skilled nursing and rehabilitation services for patients recovering from surgeries, strokes, and other short-term illnesses or injuries. Nursing services may include IV therapy, wound care, and geriatric assessment and management.
• 3 West: A 42-bed long-term care unit providing essential care in a supportive and home-like setting for residents requiring ongoing assistance.

Job Requirements

Education

• Associate's Degree in Nursing
• Valid State of Maine or Compact RN License

Experience

• 1-3 years of previous RN experience

Other Skills Required

• Medical terminology knowledge preferred
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team of care providers
• Flexibility to cover shifts as needed, including floating to other units
