Description
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Tele Float Pool Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic healthcare team. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of telemetry and stepdown nursing, along with the ability to care for diverse patient populations in acute care settings.
Unit Information
- Beds: 38
- Nurse:Patient Ratios: 4:1 - 5:1
- Common Diagnoses: ETOH, DKA, heart failure, sepsis, stroke, GI surgery, GU surgery, joint replacements
- Tele/Monitor Technology: GE monitors, with dedicated monitor techs available
- Required Skills: Ability to read telemetry strips and titrate drips such as insulin, heparin, amiodarone, and cardizem
Qualifications
- 2 years of experience in telemetry or stepdown nursing
- Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
- Registered Nurse (RN) license required
Shifts & Scheduling
- Shift Length: 12-hour shifts
- Shift Times: Days (0645-1915), Nights (1845-0715)
- Weekend Requirements: Varies
- Holiday Requirements: Varies
- Floating Requirements: Float to medical-surgical and telemetry units as needed
Orientation & Training
All staff will receive a one-day orientation specific to the unit.
Cancellation Policy
The facility reserves the right to cancel up to 4 shifts during a 13-week assignment and 3 shifts for assignments less than 13 weeks.
Charting System
Our team utilizes the Cerner charting system for patient documentation.
Location
This position is based in a city with a variety of healthcare facilities. Specific location details can be provided upon inquiry.
