Position Summary

The Physical Therapist I/II / Advanced Physical Therapist I/II position is responsible for delivering high-quality physical therapy services focused on the treatment and prevention of physical disabilities or diseases, primarily for a Native American population. This role encompasses the management and implementation of physical therapy programs, including the evaluation and treatment of inpatients and outpatients across all age ranges, from infants to geriatrics. Specialty services provided include:

• Wound care
• Prosthetic and orthotic clinic
• Geriatric clinic
• High school clinic
• Functional clinic
• Spinal cord clinic
• Assistive technology/adaptive equipment evaluation and treatment
• Durable Medical Equipment Prosthetic Orthotic Supply Program

The role also includes the oversight and development of the physical therapy section, which involves ensuring continuing quality improvement, risk management, safety, compliance with physical therapy policies and procedures, and preparation for Joint Commission accreditation. Additional responsibilities include staff education, reporting, staff meetings and in-services, as well as fulfilling other duties as necessary. Furthermore, the candidate must meet the requirements to be credentialed to serve on the Medical Staff.

Minimum Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree from a CAPTE accredited school of Physical Therapy.
• License: Valid, current, full, and unrestricted license in any U.S. state, the District of Columbia, or the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico throughout employment.
• Certification: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association is required.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience as a licensed Physical Therapist, with outpatient experience included.
• Additional Credentialing: Must fulfill requirements for credentialing to serve on the Medical Staff; all related information necessary for credentialing must be provided.

Shift Information

Monday - Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM

Holiday coverage is required.
