Description
Unit Information
This is a fast-paced cardiovascular service line that handles a wide range of cardiac conditions, with the exception of transplants. The unit is known for managing the highest acuity cases in the area.
Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional nursing care to patients with various cardiovascular conditions.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Utilize strong cardiac experience to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
Qualifications
- Strong background in cardiac care is required.
- Certification in BLS and ACLS is mandatory.
- Certification in NIHSS is required.
- BSN is not required.
- Must have an active nursing license.
Shift Details
This position requires night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM, with every other weekend required.
Charting System
Charting will be conducted using Cerner; the unit is transitioning to EPIC in November 2026.
Care Setting
The role will take place in an acute care setting within a trauma level 2 division.
Cancellation Policy
The hospital reserves the right to cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment, and 3 shifts for assignments that are less than 13 weeks.
