Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled X-ray Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures while ensuring high standards of patient care and safety. This position requires flexibility to accommodate various shifts and weekend coverage.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform X-ray imaging procedures in accordance with established protocols.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort during imaging examinations.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide quality care.
- Maintain accurate patient records and imaging data.
- Adhere to professional standards and regulations at all times.
Shifts
This position requires the ability to work one of the following shifts: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, 12:00 PM - 8:30 PM, 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM, or 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM. Weekend and holiday coverage will also be required.
Minimum Qualifications
- Graduate of an education program accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT).
- Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology from an accredited institution or appropriate military training.
Experience
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in an acute care setting is required.
Licensure and Certification
- Currently registered as R.T.(R)(ARRT) or eligible for the registry with R.T.(R)(ARRT) certification within 6 months of hire.
- Current licensure as a Radiologic Technologist in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts is required.
- BLS certification is required.
Skills
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Proficient in computer systems, including PACS and HIS/RIS.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Must maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
