Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Room

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Emergency Room team. This position is ideal for a dedicated professional ready to make a significant impact in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the emergency room.
• Collaborate with medical staff to assess and plan patient care.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor and document patient progress and responses to treatments.
• Participate in on-floor training and orientation activities.
• Assist with patient flow and ensure timely care delivery.

Work Schedule

This position requires availability for night shifts, including flexibility for weekends and holidays as needed. The contracted duration is for 13 weeks.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Emergency Room setting; first-time travelers are not accepted.
• Preferred experience of 5 years or more in a large facility.
• Current Kansas licensure or Compact License is required.
• Valid BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications must be in hand.

Floating Requirement

Occasional floating to other departments may be required, though such instances are rare.

This position is located in Lawrence, KS.
