Position Summary

The MRI Technologist is responsible for operating magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) equipment to obtain high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform MRI procedures while adhering to protocols and safety standards.
• Ensure the comfort and safety of patients throughout the imaging process.
• Administer contrast materials as needed and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
• Collaborate with physicians and medical staff to discuss imaging results and recommendations.
• Maintain equipment and ensure it is functioning correctly, reporting any issues as necessary.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of procedures performed.
• Assist with training and mentoring junior staff as required.

Work Schedule

Travelers will be scheduled in accordance with facility policy and are expected to work every other weekend and holidays in rotation with hospital employees.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in MRI technology.
• Current certification in MRI from an accredited body is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is preferred.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
