Unit Information

Location: Margate, FL

Unit Description:

• Number of Beds: 4 rooms, 1 patient per room
• Number of Staff: 22 staff members, comprising RNs and Techs
• Staffing Structure:
  • Day Shift: 1 Charge RN, Director, 4 staff members per room (16 total per shift)
  • Night Shift: On-call team (3 per team, 7 total)
• Patient Ratios: 1:1
• Type of Equipment: All GE rooms
• EMR Systems: Meditech and MacLab

Typical Responsibilities

• Perform cardiac catheterizations
• Conduct cerebellar angiograms
• Assist with stent and balloon procedures
• Scrubbing in procedures

Qualifications

Required Skills:

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
• Competency in Special Procedures & GE Innova

Preferred Skills:

• RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist)

Dress Code

Red and gray scrubs are required within the Cath Lab and EP Labs (unit-specific scrubs are permitted).
