Description

Respiratory Therapist - Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)

Location: Savannah, GA

Position Description

Unit Specifics:

  • Number of Beds: TBD
  • Patient Ratios: TBD
  • Unit Staffing Description: TBD
  • Type of Equipment: Servo U & Drager VN500, F&P Bubble CPAP, HFOV, HFJV, Vaportherm, and heliox therapy.
  • Documentation System: Epic
  • Scheduling Requirements: 7 PM – 12-hour shift
  • Floating Policy: TBD
  • Patient Experience Requirements: 1+ years of Neonatal ICU or PICU critical care experience

Qualifications

  • Must Have: 1+ year of Neonatal or PICU Critical Care experience
  • Advanced Skills Needed:
    • Ability to independently admit and manage ventilated patients in Pediatric ICU using Servo-U ventilator.
    • Setup and manage heliox therapy through invasive and non-invasive measures.
    • Familiarity with non-invasive ventilation, including the use of BiPAP and CPAP.
    • Neonatal skills including Bubble CPAP, and use of nitric oxide and high-frequency ventilation.
  • Certifications Required: PALS

Required uniform: Hunter Green
