Description
Position Description
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Med/Surg Registered Nurse (RN) for a dynamic healthcare setting. The successful candidate will join a team focused on providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.
General Information
- Location: Augusta, GA
- Unit: 5 West
- Number of Beds: 40
- Patient Ratios: 1:7
- Unit Staffing: 1 clinical nurse coordinator, 7 nurses, 4 patient care technicians (PCTs), and 1 unit coordinator (UC) per shift
- Type of Equipment: Regular medical equipment for a Med/Surg unit
- Documentation System: Meditech
- Scheduling Requirements: 36 hours per week with rotating weekends
- Floating Policy: Contract labor is prioritized to float to similar units
- Experience Requirements: Minimum of 1 year in patient care
Required Qualifications
- BLS certification
- Current RN license in GA
- Experience in a Med/Surg setting
Preferred Skills
- Proficiency in performing EKGs, blood glucose checks, and venipuncture
Dress Code
Royal blue scrubs (top and bottom) are required.
