ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled ICU Registered Nurse (RN) for a critical care position in Lawrence, KS. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in intensive care nursing and be prepared to deliver high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Scheduled Details

• Shift: 12-hour Nights
• Work Schedule: Every Monday, initially starting in Human Resources before moving to the assigned floor
• Weekend Requirement: As needed
• Holiday Requirement: As needed, with an expectation to assist during holidays

Floating Requirement

For this position, the nurse may be required to float to different units, which may include:

• 2 East Intermediate Care
• 2 North Medical
• 3 West Post-Surgical
• 3 North Overflow Medical-Surgical and Negative Air Flow Unit

Experience Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of ICU RN experience in a large facility, particularly in critical care settings
• Experience with ventilators and titration drips is preferred
• New graduates will not be considered for this position

License and Certification Requirements

• Current RN license in Kansas or a compact license
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS)

Immunization Requirements

Candidates must have the following immunizations or titer documentation completed within the past 12 months:

• 2 STEP TB or Blood Draw
• Hepatitis B, Varicella, MMR
• TDAP

Additional Notes

All credentials are due the Wednesday prior to the start date. Candidates will be responsible for clocking in and out at the facility.
