Registered Nurse - Step Down (Nursing)

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse with experience in step down care. This position requires floating between medical floors, step down/ICU, and surgical/oncology units. The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality care primarily to step down patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Float between medical, step down, and surgical/oncology units as needed.
• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the step down unit, ensuring safety and comfort.
• Monitor patient vitals and assist with medical procedures as required.
• Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team to facilitate optimal patient outcomes.
• Document patient information and care provided using the electronic medical record system (Epic).

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of step down nursing experience required.
• ICU experience is preferred but not mandatory.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
• Must be willing to float as needed between various nursing units.
