Job Description:
We are seeking experienced Registered Nurses to join our team in a dynamic and fast-paced medical environment. The position involves providing high-quality care to patients with various critical conditions.
Facility Information:
Location: Montgomery, AL
- 522 Beds
- Level II Trauma Center
- Level III NICU
- Primary Stroke Center
- Not a teaching facility
Unit Information:
- Number of Beds: 71
- High Acuity (functions as Level I)
Patient Types:
- Multi-System Trauma (Level II)
- STEMI
- Stroke
- CHF
- COPD
- GI/GU
- OB/GYN
- Pediatrics
- Psychiatric
Patient Ratios:
- 1:4 in the Emergency Room (ER)
- 1:5 in Medical-Surgical (MS) Holds
- 1:3 in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Holds
Required Certifications:
- BLS
- ACLS
- PALS
- Secure/CPI (nationally recognized/JCAHO accepted)
- NIHSS
- TNCC
Skills Required:
- Tracheostomy care
- Ventilator care
- ICU drip care and maintenance
- Chest tube management
- Arterial line care
- Centrally Venous Line (CVL) care
- PICC and midline management
- Port care
- Foley catheter insertion
- Application and care of splints/orthopedic devices
- BIPAP/Hi-Flow therapy
- Continuous bladder irrigation
Support on the Unit:
- CNA Ratio: 1:12
- Receptionist/HUC: Yes
- Phlebotomy: Yes, until 0300
- IV/VAT Team: Yes
- Hospitalist: Yes
- Telemetry Monitoring Tech: No
Technology/Equipment:
- EMR: Cerner
- IV Pumps: Plum 360
- Medication Dispensing: Omnicell
- Monitors: Spacelabs
Orientation:
Travelers who are new to the facility or return travelers who have been away for more than one year will undergo:
- 24 hours of classroom time
- 24 hours on the unit
Scheduling:
- Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend or 4 weekend days per month on block schedule
- Holiday Expectations: One major and one minor holiday per seasonal policy

- 7a-7p
- 7p-7a
- 11a-11p
- 3p-3a

- Scrub Color: Any solid color
