Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) with a focus on Medical Surgical and Telemetry for an upcoming travel assignment. This position is essential for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced acute care setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Medical Surgical and Telemetry departments.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and respond to telemetry readings as necessary.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Documentation of patient care activities in the electronic medical record system.
• Participate in patient and family education to ensure understanding of care plans.
• Float between Med Surgical and Tele departments as required based on unit needs.
• Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures regarding patient care and safety.

Schedule

The Registered Nurse will work day shifts with varying schedules based on the needs of the unit. Floating between departments and availability for holidays is expected.

Qualifications

• Recent experience in an acute care setting is required.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• Recent experience with Cerner charting is necessary.
• Experience in managing Med Surg patients with remote telemetry monitoring is essential.
• A minimum of 2 years of nursing experience is required.
• At least 2 completed travel assignments in a nursing role are necessary.
