Description
Position Overview
This position requires a dedicated Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality care to patients during pregnancy, labor, and post-delivery. The schedule is based on unit needs, requiring flexibility without set blocks of time.
Schedule
Night Shift: 1900 - 0730; 36 hours per week. The schedule will be determined by the needs of the unit.
Qualifications
- Education:
- Associate Degree (A.S.) or equivalent: Required
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing: Preferred
- Experience:
- Two years of experience in Labor & Delivery: Required
- Licenses and Certifications:
- Current RN license in the state of practice: Required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor: Required
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from an approved vendor: Required
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification from an approved vendor: Required
- Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Course: Required
- Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) or certification from the Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN): Required
Skills
Candidates must possess EPIC experience and be adept in performing comprehensive assessments, implementing care plans, and utilizing critical thinking skills in high-pressure situations.
