Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our team. This position involves providing care in a Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) model within a night shift schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in the LDRP unit.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions during labor and delivery.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to devise effective care plans.
• Educate patients and families on various health topics and care practices.

Shift Information

This position requires working the night shift from 1900 to 0730, totaling 36 hours per week with rotating shifts. No call is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing is required.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent acute care RN experience is required.
• Current RN license in the state of practice is required.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
• Certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) is required within 6 months of hire or transfer.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification is required within 6 months of hire or transfer.
• AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring course is required upon hire and every two years thereafter.
• EPIC experience is required.

Additional Information

New nurses to Labor and Delivery will take the AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring course within the first 6 to 8 months of orientation and then proceed to the AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring course every two years thereafter.
