Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our critical care team. This position requires working across various patient units, including Medical-Surgical and Emergency Room settings. The ideal candidate will be flexible and ready to provide high-quality care to patients in a fast-paced environment.

Shift Information

• Full-Time position
• Day Shift: 0500-1700
• 36 hours per week
• Weekend rotation required (every 3rd weekend)

Typical Shift Overview

As part of our small team, you'll work in an environment where the average inpatient census is around 3 patients, with a maximum of 7-8 patients on occasion. Staffing typically includes 3 nurses and 1 CNA per shift, though there are circumstances where shifts may consist of 2 nurses and 1 aide. You may also encounter scenarios involving an RN and an LPN working together alongside an aide.

Upon arrival, the nursing staff will divide the patient load according to expertise, ensuring shared responsibility for emergency patients. A crisis nurse is always on call to provide assistance when necessary.

Qualifications

• Experience in Emergency Room and Medical-Surgical nursing
• CERTIFICATIONS: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC (must be current and provided through AHA)

Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system used: Cerner.

Please note that flu declination is permitted, but appropriate masking is required during flu season.
