Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist

Position Summary

This role involves providing high-quality interventional radiology services, assisting with complex procedures, and maintaining patient care standards within the department.

Schedule and Requirements

• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Full-time position: 40 hours per week
• Day shift available with 8-hour or 10-hour shifts
• Weekends required only for on-call duties

On-call Duties

• On-call for neuro procedures with a 30-minute callback time
• On-call for IR body procedures with a 45-minute callback time
• One weekend of on-call duty (Friday to Sunday) per four-week schedule
• Third man call may vary but is included in the total call days

Key Responsibilities

• Assist physicians in performing complex interventional radiology procedures, including thrombectomies, pulmonary embolism treatments, uterine fibroid embolizations (UFE), and Y90 radioembolization therapy.
• Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols and infection control standards.
• Prepare and operate necessary equipment and ensure the availability of supplies for procedures.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in interventional radiology.
• Travel experience is preferred.
• Experience in neuro procedures is a plus.
• Valid IL IEMA license is required.
• Current BLS and ARRT certifications are necessary.

Orientation and Credentialing

Orientation may occur any day of the week, with a preference for Mondays. All credentials must be submitted by Thursday before the assigned start date.
