ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced ICU Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team for a 12-week contract position in Evanston, IL. The selected candidate will take part in comprehensive orientation and be ready to provide exceptional care in a fast-paced environment.

Scheduling Details

• Orientation Schedule:
  • Classroom/EKG: 6-8 hours on Mondays
  • Unit Orientation: 12 hours on Tuesdays
  • Non-billable Orientation: 8 hours
• Shift Details: 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Holiday Requirement: As needed

Responsibilities

As an ICU Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for:

• Providing high-quality care to patients with neuro and stroke-related conditions.
• Maintaining a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:2, and sometimes 1:3.
• Working collaboratively with healthcare teams to ensure the best outcomes for patients.
• Floating to other inpatient units and various locations within the region as necessary.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• Current Illinois RN license.
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications.
• 3+ years of experience in an ICU setting with a focus on neuro and stroke care.
• Proficiency in EPIC charting.
• New graduates are not accepted for this role.

Experience Preferred

• 5+ years of ICU nursing experience is preferred.
