ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Details

We are currently seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse (RN) for a contract position with the following details:

• Orientation Schedule:
  • Monday: 6-8 hours of classroom/EKG training
  • Tuesday: 12-hour unit orientation
  • Non-billable orientation: 8 hours
• Contract Length: 12 weeks
• Scheduled Hours: 12 hours per shift, Night shift (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Holiday Requirement: As needed
• Floating Requirement: Must be willing to float to other inpatient units and multiple locations within the region

Experience Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of strong ICU experience with a focus on Neuro and Stroke
• Experience with EPIC charting is required
• Candidates must provide evidence of a passed EKG test
• Preferred: 5+ years of ICU experience
• New graduates are not accepted for this position

Licensure and Certification Requirements

• Active Illinois nursing license
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
• NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification
