Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Surgical team. This position involves providing high-quality nursing care in the Operating Room (OR) environment, focusing on general surgery procedures. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in surgical nursing and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced setting.

Shift Information

The position requires the RN to work four 10-hour shifts on the day shift from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM. A rotating call schedule will be implemented, including both weekday and weekend on-call responsibilities. Additionally, holiday call coverage may be required if a holiday occurs during the assignment.

Responsibilities

• Utilize nursing skills to provide comprehensive care in the Operating Room.
• Participate in the surgical team, ensuring patient safety and support during procedures.
• Coordinate with other medical personnel to deliver optimal patient care.
• Adapt and float to various surgery centers as needed to meet patient care demands.

Qualifications

• Active Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications are required.
• A minimum of three years of recent experience in the Operating Room is required.
• Experience in robotic, neuro, and orthopedic surgeries is preferred.
• Proficiency in Epic Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system is required.

Holiday Coverage

Holiday coverage may be required as part of the on-call rotation.
