Description
Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Emergency Room (ER) team. This position will involve providing high-quality care to patients in a fast-paced environment.
Unit Information
- Unit Type: Emergency Room (ER)
- Shift Length: 12 hours
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Nurse: Patient Ratio: 1:4
- Average Daily Patients: 66
- Pediatric Care: Rare (1%) - Treat and transfer
Required Certifications
- ACLS
- BLS Certification
- NIHSS
- PALS
Shift and Scheduling Details
- Shift Hours: 7 PM - 7:30 AM
- Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend
- Holiday Requirements: Expected to work some holidays
- Orientation: One 12-hour shift with an experienced ED RN
Unit Notes
- Trauma Level: No Trauma level
- STEMI Receiving: Yes
- Stroke Center: Comprehensive Stroke Center
- Triage Area: Yes, travelers may participate in triage if experienced
- Psych Rooms: 4 designated rooms for psych patients
- Security: In-house 24/7
- ED Staff: ED techs assist with EKGs, blood sugar testing, and patient monitoring
Qualifications
Applicants should have a minimum of one year of experience in an emergency department setting. Experience in behavioral health is preferred, along with a history of completing 1-2 assignments as a traveler.
