Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Surgical Technologist with a focus on Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment and will be able to assist in a variety of complex surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and management of the surgical environment.
• Scrub in on various cardiovascular surgical procedures including CABG, MVR, AVR, and more.
• Work collaboratively with a diverse surgical team comprised of approximately 25 surgeons.
• Ensure that all surgical instruments and supplies are sterile and ready for use.
• Maintain a high level of attention to detail while operating complex surgical equipment.
• Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with surgical procedures and technologies.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in cardiovascular scrub.
• Required certifications: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) via NBSTSA and BLS certification.
• Experience with high-acuity cases such as kidney transplants, robotics, vascular access, and ECMO.
• Ability to go "on bypass" during surgeries.

Shift Information

This position requires flexibility in working various shifts, including weeknights, weekends, and holidays, with a mandatory call or standby requirement of a 30-minute response time.
