MRI Technologist

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced MRI Technologist for a night shift position. The successful candidate will perform MRI procedures and provide high-quality diagnostic imaging services in a safe and efficient manner.

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct MRI examinations following established protocols.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the imaging process.
• Administer contrast materials and start IVs when necessary.
• Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate results.
• Maintain equipment and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Document and manage patient records with the use of electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor or manager.

Shift Details

This is a 10-hour night shift position, working every Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, as well as every other Thursday. The technologist will also be required to be on call typically one night per week and one weekend per month.

Unit Information

The MRI department is equipped with a GE 1.5 T scanner, and the average number of scans performed per day is approximately 30. The department utilizes Epic, Fuki, and Synpase PACS systems for patient management and imaging.

Qualifications

• Required Certifications: BLS (AHA), Certified MRI Technologist - ARRT (MR).
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an MRI Technologist.
• Previous experience with GE MRI systems is preferred.

Additional Information

• Position requires a radius of 60 miles for candidates.
• Black pants and a royal blue top are the required dress code.
• Department-specific orientation will be provided.
• Weekend and holiday availability is mandatory.
