Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Physical Therapist to join our rehabilitation team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality therapy services to both inpatient and outpatient populations, focusing on improving patient mobility and rehabilitation.

Job Details

• Unit Type: Physical Therapy
• Shift Length: 10 hours
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Required Certifications: BLS (AHA), California license for PT

Schedule

The position requires working on the following days: Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 08:30 AM to 07:00 PM.

Facility Information

• Bed Capacity: 189 beds (ICU 20, telemetry 34, medical surgical units 102 beds, Mother and Baby units 33 beds)
• Average Hospital Census: 150
• Outpatient Center: Located 2.5 miles away, serving both PT and OT/ST disciplines
• Service Areas: Outpatient therapy, home health, and inpatient care.

Team Composition

• 1 Lead Inpatient Therapist
• 1 Therapy Supervisor
• 1 Director of Rehab Services
• Outpatient and Inpatient Staff:
• 3 outpatient aides
• 5 inpatient aides
• 2 PTAs (Outpatient), 2 PTAs (Inpatient)
• 1 COTA (Outpatient), 1 PD COTA
• 4 OTRs (2 inpatient, 2 outpatient), including 1 OT (T)
• 5 PTs (including 2 travelers)
• 2 Speech Therapists (includes 1 traveler)

Patient Demographics

The therapist will work with a diverse patient population, focusing on:

• Inpatient Adult and Geriatric populations (orthopedic, neurological, medical, pulmonary complications)
• Outpatient populations ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics
• Specialized hand therapy in OT and pediatric speech therapy

Other Notes

• JCAHO certification for Stroke (NIH certified)
• Programs for elective hips and knees, early mobility, and vent early mobility
