Cath Lab Technologist

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Cath Lab Technologist to join our Cardiac Cath Lab team. The ideal candidate will have experience in catheterization procedures and a strong understanding of cardiovascular technologies.

Job Details

Unit Type: Cardiac Cath Lab
Shift Length: 8 hours
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
Years of Experience Required: 1 year
Shift Notes: 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM, with additional on-call requirements

Qualifications

Required Certifications:
- BLS Certification
- Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) Verification
- Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) via CCI or ARRT (Certification must be registered with NDMIRT)
Experience or 'Must Have' Skills:
- Ability to scrub in and panning experience is acceptable; primary focus will be on panning
- Familiarity with IABP, Impella, Shockwave, Laser, IFR/FFR, IVUS, Rotapro, and 4-port manifold is preferred
- Experience with IV starts is preferred but not mandatory

Responsibilities

Scrubbing in for procedures and assisting with cardiovascular interventions
Starting IVs and monitoring patients during procedures

Additional Information

Department: Cath Lab
Equipment & EMR: EPIC & Philips Xper (Hemo), Siemens C-Arm
Call Requirements: 1-2 weeknight shifts per week, every third weekend on call, and alternating holidays
Orientation: One week of department-specific orientation, including classroom and lab training
Response Time: 20 minutes for on-call duties
Floating Requirements: Assistance in Heart and Vascular Pre/Post areas as needed
Dress Code: Provided scrubs; personal lock required for lockers
