Description
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Cardiovascular Operating Room Technologist (CVOR Tech) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in open heart procedures and be prepared to play a vital role in our surgical team.
Position Details
- Shift: 5 days a week, Monday through Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM with on-call responsibilities
- Shift Length: 8 hours
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
- Location: City, State
Unit Information
- Unit Type: Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR)
- Number of Surgical Suites: 6 Operating Rooms and 1 Hybrid Room
- Typical Cases: 20-30 per day (including 1-2 open heart cases or up to 4 TAVR)
- Common Procedures: CABG, Aortic Valve, Mitral Valve, TAVR
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a CVOR setting, with at least 1 year focusing on open heart procedures
- Required Certifications: BLS Certification (ACLS Certification for RNs)
Additional Information
- Scrubbing: Scrubbing required for CVOR Techs; RNs do not scrub
- Support: Charge nurse and specialty leads available as resources; house supervisor presence during off-hours
- EMR System: Cerner
- Scrubs: Provided by the institution
