Unit Information

• Unit Type: PCU Oncology (5 North)
• Primary Patient Population: Adult Oncology PCU and Trauma PCU patients
• Number of Beds: 18

Shift Details

• Shift Length: 12 hours
• Shift Type: Nights
• Shifts Available: 0630p - 7:00a
• Every Other Weekend: Required
• Self-Scheduling: Available, based on unit needs

Responsibilities

As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will:

• Provide compassionate patient care while managing a variety of medical conditions.
• Conduct hourly rounding and bedside shift reporting to enhance patient experience.
• Titrate drips such as Insulin and Cardizem as needed.
• Administer chemotherapy and manage associated side effects.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including nursing assistants, charge nurses, case managers, and social workers.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a relevant field, with a preference for oncology experience.
• Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS
• Chemotherapy Certification: Preferred, not required
• Charge Nurse Experience: Not required
• First-Time Travelers: Accepted

• Electronic Medical Records: Epic
• IV Pumps: Alaris
• Respiratory Equipment: High-flow systems available
