Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Cardiovascular Operating Room Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment, working with multiple surgeons. This position involves circulating in the Cardiac and Thoracic OR, with various responsibilities tied to patient care and surgical support.

Unit Information

• Unit Type: Cardiovascular Operating Room
• Number of Suites: 12
• Average Cases per Day: 20
• Common Cases Include:
  • Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG)
  • Mitral Valve Repair (MVR)
  • Aortic Valve Replacement (AVR)
  • Kidney Transplant
  • Robotic Procedures (Thoracic and Cardiac)
  • Peripheral Vascular Surgery
  • Thoracic Surgery
  • Aortic Repair
  • Vascular Access Procedures
  • Hybrid Procedures (TEVAR/EVAR, TAVR)
  • Impella and IABP Support
  • Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO)

Shift Information

• Shift Length: 8 hours
• Work Schedule: Monday through Friday with variations in scheduling
• Call Requirements:
  • Minimum of 1 weekday call and 1 full weekend call per month, with additional call as needed.

Qualifications

• Required Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Cardiovascular Operating Room nursing, with a preference for 3 years of circulating experience.
• Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Certification.
• Preferred Skills: Scrubbing experience is preferred, but not mandatory.
