Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) for a seasonal position in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong skills in acute care, specifically within the operating room setting, and will be committed to providing high-quality patient care.

Schedule

• Days: Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday
• Shift: Day Shift (7A - 7P)

Unit Information

The Operating Room unit consists of:

• Number of Beds: 284
• Number of Staff: 55
• Patient Ratios: 1:1 to 1:2
• Type of Equipment: DaVinci Robotics
• Electronic Medical Records (EMR): Meditech / CPN

Responsibilities

As an Operating Room Registered Nurse, your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting in various surgical procedures, including vascular, trauma, and neuro surgeries.
• Ensuring a sterile environment and adhering to infection control protocols.
• Collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team to provide optimal patient care.
• Monitoring patient status and responding to changes in condition.
• Participating in on-call rotations as required, with a 30-minute response time for emergencies.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Minimum of 1-year current acute care operating room RN experience.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
• Experience in a large trauma operating room facility is preferred.
• Robotics experience is highly preferred and will be prioritized.
• Familiarity with Meditech software is a plus.
