Position Overview

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Post-Surgical/Inpatient department plays a critical role in managing patients recovering from a variety of surgical procedures. This position involves responsibilities that ensure the well-being and recovery of patients during their post-operative period.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess vital signs of patients recovering from surgery.
• Administer medications and provide post-operative care.
• Observe and manage patients for potential post-operative complications.
• Collaborate with nursing staff and support personnel to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Act as a primary point of contact for nursing operations during overnight shifts.
• Utilize physician on-call services for emergency situations.

Shift Details

• Schedule: Night shifts, 1900-0700 (12-hour shifts).
• Weekly Hours: 36 hours per week.
• Weekend and holiday rotations required.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse License in Kansas or a multistate license.
• Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Current AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Experience in Med Surg or a similar nursing specialty preferable.
