Contract Overview

We are seeking a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) for a 15-week contract to provide holiday coverage. This position is ideal for experienced nurses looking for an exciting opportunity in a dynamic environment.

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery
• Comfortable with or had exposure to postpartum care
• Certifications: BLS, NRP, and fetal monitoring

Required Skills

• Strong Labor and Delivery experience
• Ability to perform cervical exams, manage antepartum and labor cases, and conduct amnio infusions
• Proficiency in administering epidurals and managing fetal monitoring
• Experience with IV placement and administration of Pitocin
• Ability to circulate in C-sections and assist in baby catching/receiving
• Knowledge of APGAR scoring and breastfeeding practices

Postpartum Care

Strong preference for candidates comfortable with all aspects of postpartum care, from transition to discharge for both mother and baby.

Additional Information

• Scrub experience is a bonus; scrub-trained RNs may be utilized occasionally
• Electronic Medical Record System: Epic (strongly preferred)
• Unit Capacity: 20 beds total (12 Labor & Delivery, 8 Post-Partum/Antepartum, 6 bed Level II NICU)
• No on-call required
• Teal scrubs will be provided
• NP available on call
• Multilingual candidates (Russian/Spanish) are preferred due to community demographics
