Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Labor and Delivery Nurse with a strong background in obstetrics to join our dedicated team. This position requires expertise in managing labor and delivery processes, as well as providing postpartum care for mothers and newborns.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform cervical exams and manage antepartum and labor scenarios.
• Administer amnio infusions and epidurals as needed.
• Monitor fetal heart rates and handle fetal monitoring efficiently.
• Insert intravenous (IV) lines and administer Pitocin as directed.
• Assist in circulating C-sections and ensure safe delivery practices.
• Receive and care for newborns post-delivery, including performing APGAR assessments.
• Provide comprehensive breastfeeding support and education to new mothers.
• Manage postpartum care, ensuring a smooth transition for mothers and babies from labor to discharge.

Qualifications

Applicants must possess the following qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery nursing.
• Current certifications in BLS, NRP, and fetal monitoring.
• Strong competency in performing essential skills such as cervical exams, labor management, and newborn care.
• Experience in scrub roles is a plus, but not required.
• Familiarity with Epic EMR is strongly preferred.
• Multilingual candidates, particularly those speaking Russian or Spanish, are encouraged to apply.

Facility Information

• Total Beds: 20 (12 for Labor and Delivery, 8 for Postpartum, 3 OB/ED rooms, 2 Operating Rooms, and a 6 bed Level II NICU)
• Scrubs: Teal scrubs will be provided.
• No on-call requirements.
