Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Labor and Delivery Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong experience in labor and delivery, with a focus on providing high-quality care to mothers and newborns throughout the perinatal period.

Responsibilities

• Perform cervical exams and monitor antepartum and labor progress
• Administer amnio infusions, epidurals, and Pitocin as needed
• Conduct fetal monitoring and manage IVs
• Circulate during C-sections and assist with baby catching/receiving
• Assess and document APGAR scores
• Provide breastfeeding knowledge and support
• Deliver comprehensive post-partum care from transition to discharge for both mother and baby

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of labor and delivery experience
• Comfort and previous exposure to postpartum care is strongly preferred
• Certification in BLS, NRP, and fetal monitoring required
• Strong clinical skills in labor and delivery procedures
• Experience in scrub role is a bonus (training provided)
• Multilingual candidates fluent in Russian or Spanish are preferred

Work Environment

• Total of 20 beds: 12 in L&D, 8 in post-partum/antepartum
• Includes 3 OB/ED rooms, 2 ORs, and a 6-bed Level II NICU
• No on-call requirements

Additional Information

Scrubs will be provided in teal color. Strong proficiency with the Epic electronic medical record (EMR) system is highly preferred.
