• Capacity: 417 Beds
• Travelers must live at least 100 miles away from any affiliated facilities

Unit Information

• New hybrid cath lab/OR room with 1 bed
• Expected to handle 1-2 cases per day

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience required in the procedure area
• First-time travelers accepted, pending management review of skills

Patient Types and Common Diagnoses

• Adults
• Procedures include:
• Open and closed surgical procedures
• Transcarotid Arterial Revascularization (TCAR)
• Thoracic Endovascular Aortic Repair (TEVAR)
• Endovascular Aneurysm Repair (EVAR)
• Transcatheter Aortic Valve Repair (TAVR)
• Transcatheter Mitral Valve Repair (TMVR)
• Aortoiliac Femoral Femoral Angiogram (AIFF)
• Femoral Bypass

Required Certifications

• Cath Lab Technologist: ARRT or equivalent OR RCIS certification required
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)

Required Education

• Associate's Degree in Cath Lab, Endovascular, or related field

Skills Required

• Experience with endovascular procedures alongside cardiothoracic surgeons
• Experience in a hybrid OR setting with EVAR procedures
• Applicants without experience in the specified procedures may not be considered

Department Support

• Available charge nurse within the cath lab

Technology and Equipment

• Electronic Medical Records: EPIC (required)
• IV Pump: Alaris
• Medication Dispensing: Omnicell
• Imaging and Hemodynamic Systems: Siemens and Philips

Floating Responsibilities

• May float to assist within the cath lab for peripheral and structural procedures

Orientation

• New Employee Orientation (NEO)
• First week includes 4 ten-hour shifts with a preceptor

Scheduling Information

• Weekend rotation: flexibility required, likely working every other or every third weekend
• Holiday Expectations: likely to work every other holiday
• Requests for time off (RTO) subject to manager approval
• Shift times: 06:00 AM - 04:30 PM
• Schedule cycle released every 4 weeks
