Description
Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Cath Lab Tech to join our team. This role is essential in providing excellent patient care and assisting in a wide range of cardiovascular procedures within the cath lab environment.
Shift Details
This position is for day shifts, operating from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
Assignment Length
The initial assignment is for a duration of 13 weeks.
Unit Information
Details about the Cath Lab unit include:
- Number of Labs: 2
- Staffing: Approximately 15 staff members
- Patient Ratios: Varies with 5-15 cases per day
- Type of Equipment: GE
- Electronic Medical Records: EPIC/Merge
Key Qualifications
Required Skills
- Diagnostic and Interventional Scrubbing with cardiologists
- Experience with IABP/Impella
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Rota, TAVR, Watchman, and MitraClip procedures
Typical Procedures
The Cath Lab team performs various procedures, including:
- Diagnostic angiograms
- Percutaneous Coronary Interventions (PCIs)
- Structural heart procedures
Personal Characteristics

Required Certifications
- RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist)
- RT (Radiologic Technologist)
- CVT (Cardiovascular Technologist)
- RN (Registered Nurse) with scrubbing capability
Uniform Requirements
Scrubs will be provided in navy blue color.
On-call and Weekend Requirements
Approximately 10 call days will be expected throughout the assignment, which will include at least one weekend per month.
