Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Nurse to join our dynamic surgical team. This position requires a dedicated professional committed to providing exceptional patient care in the operating room environment.

Shift Information

• Schedule: Monday to Friday
• Hours: 6:45 AM to 5:15 PM
• On-call: Requires availability for 2 weekdays and 1 weekend each month

Unit Information

• Unit Type: Operating Room (OR)
• Number of Beds: 67 Beds
• Operating Rooms: 4 ORs and 1 procedure room
• Average Daily Cases: 15-22 per day
• Areas of Surgery: General, orthopedic fractures and scopes, plastics, GI, urology, pediatric dental, surgical oncology

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Operating Room Nurse
• Required Certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), PALS (AHA) for pediatric cases
• Must possess experience in multiple areas of surgery as mentioned above

Orientation

The orientation process consists of on-unit training, healthstream virtual education, and a comprehensive one-week introduction to the unit.

Additional Information

• Flu Vaccine: Required; exemption only with documented medical evidence
• Fingerprint Requirement: Must complete remote or in-person fingerprinting process prior to start
• Travelers must adhere to a 50-mile radius rule; local candidates are also welcomed
